The Rujum Summer Seminar is a meeting of young people from all over Israel that is full of fun and inspiration, interpersonal connections, learning about the questions of our generation as young adults in Israel, as well as a platform for developing communities and initiatives for change!
You are invited to join four days full of interesting discussions, workshops and mifgash (meeting) with young people from your area, in a colorful and liberating atmosphere! Join the hundreds of young people who have already participated in this horizon-expanding and life-changing experience!

for young adults!
9 years ago we met as a small group of people with a big idea . We wanted to create a significant platform for young people to meet each other and discuss the big questions of our lives in Israel. We realized that if we manage to talk about our personal experiences together, we can pinpoint the real challenges of our generation – not only to find solutions to difficulties, but to create alternatives, new
social structures – a network of communities full of initiatives and mifgash (meeting).
In the short term – a 4-day seminar, a significant experience in an informal spirit – through learning, having fun and meeting young adults from your area and others.
In the long run – the entire seminar is a platform to create, develop a network of young, social communities! A colorful and inspiring accelerator to create alternatives for our lives as young people in Israel.
What is
Rujum Summer Seminar?
4 days which are a platform for a lived experience in a community of young adults. Not only do we chose community as our main topic, we are also trying to create an experience that demonstrates through all the senses what a desirable community is, in our eyes – learning and discussion groups, community workshops, interest groups and at the end of each day – fun and liberating creative evenings. Fun, depth, and a lot of inspiration.
- Location – the seminar will take place at the seminar center on Kibbutz Ravid overlooking Lake Kinneret (on one of the days of the seminar we will travel together to the lake).
- Dates – 23-26/8/2023 | Wednesday to Saturday.
- Accommodation – shared rooms, in every room a single-size mattress for each person, toilet and shower.
- Classrooms – the seminar will take place in active, air-conditioned classrooms.
- Participation – registration for the seminar requires full participation in all four days of the seminar. You cannot bring alcohol or drugs of any kind to the seminar.

In an attempt to create a meaningful and relevant experience, we thought about the content and discussions that would provoke an in-depth conversation about our lives as young people in Israel and in society – the challenges and opportunities.
During the seminar, we meet in diverse ways, each of which is a different form of learning, asking life questions together and also having a lot of fun.
During the seminar we will acquire tools and develop ideas and initiatives together that bring to light what we want and realize that we can reach new heights together.
We will go through the seminar together in discussion groups of 10-15 participants of young people from all over Israel, where we will meet about our dilemmas as young people in Israel, shared life questions, conversations in small groups, creativity and even some dancing 🕺🏻
During the seminar we’ll meet in our local and regional communities for time to think and for creative workshops. We will look at the “social capital” that we have as a group and think about how we can develop the community in the local area where we live as a factor that changes our own reality and that of society around us.
Each of us has significant knowledge that we have accumulated and that is relevant to the seminar and to each other. Something we studied in a formal institution or in any other way. An enterprise I participated in. A subject that fascinates me.
A special life story or anything you would like to share with the group is good and suitable for the seminar. A workshop, a lecture, a discussion and more.. During these four days we set aside time to learn from each other’s knowledge.
Every evening at the seminar there is a special creative, fun activity. Participation in these evenings helps us create bonds of friendship and develop our capacity to see the world with wonder and creativity!
During the seminar, all the participants of the seminar will gather for lectures, inter-community meetings and creativity in small groups.

Learning at the Rujum Summer Seminar is done with love and depends only on the desire of the people to meet, without any other purpose such as a degree, money or status. The seminar is built on a variety of meeting platforms where everyone can engage in a high level of introspection, enjoyment and liberation.
The connections that happen during Rujum Summer Seminar open possibilities for new partners and friends for life. The seminar is a platform for establishing and developing local communities that you can take part in during and after the seminar.
To make a Change
The world is changing fast and as young people we must create new paths, with the understanding that what was true for our parents' generation is no longer necessarily true for us. Participating in Rujum Summer is an opportunity to take part in creating a community that leads to change.
